An Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is a safe, automatic device that shocks a cardiac arrest victim. With an AED machine, the chance of survival can be as high as 74%, instead of 6% if you wait for an ambulance. This course provides the necessary knowledge and skills of how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) during a cardiac arrest event.
